Tank Setup:

A minimum of 5 gallons is needed for a single female, but multiple female bettas can live together in a larger tank (20+ gallons) if it includes ample hiding spaces, live plants, driftwood, and line-of-sight breaks. This setup helps minimize territorial behavior and promotes a stable “sorority” environment. They also do well with peaceful tank mates like shrimp, snails, and non-aggressive community fish.

Feeding: Female Betta Fish are easy to feed. Offer them a protein-rich diet including betta pellets, frozen bloodworms, daphnia, and the occasional blanched pea or spinach. Feed once or twice daily in small amounts to avoid bloating and maintain vibrant colors.

Breeding: Female bettas are essential for breeding projects, though they should only be introduced to a male in a separate breeding tank under close supervision. Once spawning occurs and eggs are deposited in the bubble nest, the female should be removed. Breeding should not be attempted in community tanks.
