Breeding: Breeding Serpae Tetras in captivity is possible, though it requires a separate breeding tank with soft water and low lighting. Like most tetras, they lay eggs on plants or surfaces, and the fry hatch in 24–48 hours.

Compatibility:

Serpae Tetras are peaceful but may show territorial behavior, particularly in smaller groups. They are compatible with other peaceful species such as small rasboras, gouramis, and Corydoras. Avoid aggressive fish like barbs or cichlids that may stress or harm them.
